    Name this tartan?

    Hi Gang

I need some help - can you name the tartan of the drummer's kilt?

    Thanks!

That's pretty good. I looked through my catalog and couldn't find it, sorry. Could it be a corporate tartan?

Whatever it is, it's a nice, well made kilt.

    Regards,
    Scott Gilmore

The drummer has, however, outgrown it about about 2".....!

I want to say Muir, but the only thing that's throwing me is that it seems to have too much red (the red lines on the green look too thick). But this could just be due to whomever wove it, or it could also be that the red is showing up more in the photograph than the darker green.

Matt -- I think you're spot on with the Muir tartan:

I knew it wasn't the MacLachlan tartan, but the yellow really through me for a loop!

Good idea - but the tartan in question is primarily navy blue, red, and the yellow stripe. There may also be a green stripe - but I just don't remember one.

Now I don't feel so bad not being able to figure this one out!

I can see the green stripes clearly in the picture posted here, so I'm quite sure there is green in the tartan. I think the sample of Muir tartan that Cajunscot posted is exactly what the drummer is wearing.
