Roach(2015) Tartan set to weave. Anyone interested?

We are going ahead with a single-width kilt selvedge weave with House of Edgar of the Roach(2015) http://www.tartanregister.gov.uk/tar...aspx?ref=11251 and https://xtartans.wordpress.com/proje...f-your-tartan/ . Everything was already arranged for double wide but that became untenable, so now it is single width. Final design details and pricing are set and being confirmed for week`s end.

Currently there is about 30m+ of 16oz single width unspoken for.

There is also a 10oz double-wide run. About 20 ties are being made from that run and about 20m unspoken for.

PM if interested. I will be on the road next 10 days. While not anticipating any internet connect issues, regrets if any delays getting back to you.

Delighted to hear that your are going for tradtional cloth from a Scottish Mill, i.e. with a selvedge rather than a 'tuck edge'.

    Thanks,
My brother, the designer, spent a lot of time researching for heirloom quality and even managed a visit to HoE in person. The extended family is more interested in the 10oz, so the 160z kilts are running us just a wee bit more than we'd planned on, but still value priced even after exchange rates. I'm considering an additional 4m of cloth to sew my own box pleat (TAOK and Supplement in hand already). Both styles would be nice to have.

Think I'd be tempted to pleat to the white.

I like it better but there again, I'm influenced by traditional military pleating and this is almost certainly how such a tartan would have been pleated if regimental.

I don't disagree, having served. In the end it came down to having my spouse help deciding between the white and the red, she pointing out that the latter displays more of the colours of the cloth.
I am getting an addn 5yd to fabricate a box pleat ..maybe I'll get 8 instead 😄
