I had planned on designing a tartan for use in my wedding - until I saw the price, of course. But I still dream of making a tartan that is mine and representative of my "clan" of friends and family. So I've been messing around with the design, and I think this is the iteration that I finally feel comfortable sharing. I was inspired greatly by Rex Tremende's "Heatherfield" - and much like that one, I assume this would be a bit brighter and more muted in production. I've tried reading as much as I can from the kiltmakers on this forum and have tried to keep the pleating in mind, but please feel free to offer any feedback. First, the full sett zoomed out a bit: Pleated to the orange stripes: To the pink stripe, which I didn't think I'd like (but oddly do): And to the dark stripe, which give us a subtle lawnchair: In a previous version, I had a bright yellow-green stripe that I wanted to flash out (in a box pleated kilt), but I couldn't get it to work. I'd love to hear your input.
