Wildcat Tartan update - second weaving

Paul Henry has received the second weaving of the tartan, done at Andrew Elliott weavers. He's already turned out about 20 of the 25-26 scarves that he makes from the tartan and is mailing them out.

The color matching to the first run is impeccable. I'm very impressed.

Glen and Barb and I have stepped back from the process, pretty much completely and handed it over to Paul Henry. He is taking "statements of interest" for a third weaving. I think that it's pretty fair to say that Glen, Barb and I are all thrilled that this has been such a monumental success. I know that I'm blown away by the enthusiastic response. The Facebook group dedicated to the Wildcat Tartan is starting to edge up to 1,000 members!

Here's a pile of scarves ready to go.

The purled edge of a scarf. Paul does a lot of "processing" of the tartan to make it softer. Naturally, kilting tartan is not the best for scarves, without a lot of softening.

    The second bolt...

If you are interested in the third run, Paul is collecting "statements of interest" right now on his website. Since any link to his website will probably offend somebody, which will get this thread sent to never-never-land, just message me here at XMTS and I'll give you the link. I'm hardly ever here on XMTS any more so it may take as much as a week for me to get back to you.

I agree with everything you've said Alan, to say I am thrilled would be an understatement. the colour match to the first run is flawless, and it is wonderfully fulfilling to see this project so successful.
