Bit of Clan Grant History
Like any person of Scottish descent I have many Clans in the family. One is Grant. I'm always poking about on the internet for stories and history and I came across this bit. It includes links to a variety of Grant tartans as well.
According to the title: In the months preceding the wedding of the granddaughter of President Grant to a Russian Prince in 1899, the New York Tribune printed a fitting tribute to her distinguished American family with an impressive heritage of its own.

Re: Bit of Clan Grant History
There are Grants in my family line too, as well as Bruce and Downie, a sept of Lindsay.
I have kilts in:
Grant Red, Grant Hunting (Black Watch Modern and Weathered), Bruce and Lindsay.
You may have guessed I'm not bound by convention.
