Stumbled by this when looking for something else. A comprehensive []list of Clans, Families and their septs[], assuming you put credence in such things, that will certainly help find yourself.

If you're using windees, press 'Ctrl & F' together to bring up the 'Find in Page' feature.

Incidentally there's []one for tartans too[]. If you are after thread counts the official Register or the Tartans Authority websites are better but if you're after a quick heads-up as to what a tartan looks like in it's various colour forms (Modern, Ancient, Weathered).

Just for grins, I checked their listing of "septs" for Maxwell and discovered that none of the 20 dependent or allied families that the House of Maxwell claims are listed, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it... Of course, maybe they're biased against Lowlanders.

Yeah ... likewise, ditto and me too.

First, no septs shown under Cameron...hmmm. Second, after clicking on the clan listing for "Cameron" it brought up a list of related items for sale but no clan or sept info. There was a lower link to the "Cameron Modern" tartan; I clicked on it and
received a picture of the "McPhail Hunting Ancient" tartan.

Methinks this site ain't all it needs to be nor even close.
