    Bletherskite
    Scottish noun: to talk rubbish

Hmm...it's a noun, but the definition is describing a verb? Either they made a mistake, or they employed a crafty bletherskite to edit their site.

Oh dear . A conglomerate of existing information, myth and outright rubbish I'm afraid.

Check out the Jacobean page! One would like to think that a self-proclaimed Scottish history site knew the difference between a Jacobean and a Jacobite but clearly not.

The date of Disarming Act (Proscription) is given as 1746 (wrong) but on the relevant page quotes the Act which states First Day of August 1747.

And then there's this page - McMummy – Chinese unearth 4000 year old mummy in a kilt!. Take about 2+2 = 5.

    I won't be going back.

Bletherskite is a mix of good stuff and utter rubbish, depending on who's posting.
I've reported inaccuracies to them regarding my own clan and they were happy to make corrections and to remove misleading posts.
