I found this photo amongst my grandmother’s belongings; I assume this is a family member. I’m wondering if anyone can identify any clues from the dress, e.g. is this a specific outfit’s uniform, or is it simply a photographer’s studio costume? I’m hoping for any tidbits of data that might help me to suss out which ancestor this might be.

If it helps, my great-grandparents emigrated from Dalry, North Ayrshire in 1907, if that helps with location or time.
