Who am I?
So here is what I know:
Mother's side-Wilson, berry, brazil/brasil, longmire, sweat...from Morgan County Tennessee and around those parts.
Father's side- all that I know is his name, Michael A. Brown, lived in Tucson, Arizona in the late 80s, maybe still resides there, would be in late 60s now.
Any of this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe we are kin!
P.S. I would love help with my family history if, by a miracle, anyone knows about any of these family names from the area. I have exhausted much of my ability for research.

Have you ever thought about a DNA search? http://www.familytreedna.com/ I haven't done it, but it seems rather interesting if you have a blocking point in your research. Has anybody else on XMTS ever done a DNA search?

Never done a DNA search but have my family back to Clan Rollo 820AD. Brute, you might try going to the library since most have geneology folks there or can direct you. Geneology folks are always glad to help but find a group that does it free of charge. Also the Later Day Saints have a very good research library. Need to find death and birth certificates.

I've found that Ancestry.com has been an incredible resource for researching my family tree.

Ancestry.com is a great site. My uncle who doesn't own a computer, (I think he might be the only person I know who doesn't) has done some extensive research on our family. I've taken his info and used Ancestry.com and it has been amazing how many holes are being filled. I would recommend this site to anyone. It's incredible and a little scary, how much information there is out there.

I will try all that! Ancestry.com is just hard cus I have limited funds. But thanks all! I more just wanted to see, by chance, if someone on this site (since so many are from the eastern US) might be some-what related! But thanks all!

I am so grateful that I am so old,(52) that my uncles and aunts thought it important to tell me stories about my family.
Burly Bute, if you really want to, you can find out an awful lot for free but it takes your time. The Internet is awsome(Like a talkative uncle) Go for it

Brown
Well Burly Brute, if you are biologically a Brown then you would have at least a connection to Clan MacMillan, as Brown is a sept of MacMillan.
You can find out more about Clan MacMillan and it's related septs here:

Welcome aboard!!

There is a very good chance that your local library has a subscription to Ancestry.com (or a similar site) for all of its patrons.
If you have a library card, you're good to go.
And good luck!

Not to mention that many public libraries maintain genealogy departments that offer free research assistance, programs, etc. Ours offers basic genealogy programs.
