British Newspapers

[Nick the DSM]

I'm doing a report on British and Irish immigration to South America (Specifically the Patagonia of Chile and Argentina) in the 19th century to early 20th century, and I'm looking for a database or a newspaper that would have been around in Britain to use as sources.

Any information on where to look? I've used up my University library for anything on it, and I can only get so far with using South American papers.

Firstly there is this:

Then there is:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

Which links through to the National Archives of Ireland. Clicking on Genealogy, brings up a lot more information.

I have access through my Library in England to search some newspapers online, if there is something you are looking for I can do a search.
