CAMPBELLS IN THE APPIN MURDER AND TICONDEROGA and American Revolutionary War

    Hello,
does anybody know all connected Campbells of cousins, brothers, or foster-kin .

    Appin Murder
Colin Roy of Glenure is assassinated and nephew Mungo Campbell of Glenure ..is with him ..who later gets killed at battle of fort Montgomery near west point ny in am rev war 'I think .

his cousins/kin Alexndr ? Campbell of Barcaldine is main "investigator .
I think Duncan Camp- of Inverawe [later of Black Watch 1758 RL Stevenson Ghost Story] is #2 investigator . -if so how related ?? Hi son John (a portrait exists ?) is wounded and later dies ..he had 2 sons in battle ?? Duncan's relative of what form DONALD is man killed in the ghost story and by whom ..an APPIN STEWART or the chief of appin or who ?

if possible what were whole list of each man's relations . or where to look . I saw an old book on Campbells ..can 't seem to find it now ..

    thanks,
    Dave

Have you tried contacting anyone within the Clan Campbell Society - North America (CCSNA)? There might be folks that know, but really you need a Clan historian, and while I am a member of CCSNA, I have no clue where you would find that info, or the right person. XMTS is probably not gonna get you far. Here's a link to CCSNA: http://www.ccsna.org/

    Best of luck to ya!

    appin and ti

I saw a Campbell fella who responds to a ..ancestry site and he is related to those ..folk.

he has extensive knowledge of that period ..but not being a member of that I could not email to him ..

there was an old ..Campbell book of lineage and had that target ..group in it ..but I can't mind if they went into lots of detail ..else I'd've read it or retained more .
