Canadian Scottish Regiment Centennial Parade
Our local infantry reserve regiment, The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary's), celebrated its 100th anniversary this year. This last weekend was the culmination of the celebrations, and I attended the Regimental Centennial Parade on Sunday. The Colonel-in-Chief, HRH Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy, was to have attended, but illness prevented her from attending.
Pre-parade concert music was provided by musicians of the 15th Field, RCA Band and 5th (B.C.) Field, RCA band.

The pipe band marches into the park. Members of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's), the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada, and the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada supplemented the regimental pipes and drums.

The battalion marches in.

No. 2 Guard.

The Colour Party marches on.

We were there too and mighty glad the weather held throughout the event. It was great to have been part of the celebration.

Great photos. Could someone in the know, explain why the officers escorting the Lt Governor and presumebly his equerry are wearing levee sporrans. I understand that the officers were escorting a representative of the sovereign for the parade review but usually only his equerry is in levee dress, if at all.

In the picture labeled "Slow march past" one of the piper's is in a different kilt, possibly Black Stewart. ????

If you look in the first post, Geoff, it's noted that there are members of three other Regiments supplementing the Regiments own pipes and drums, which is probably why one of the pipers is in a different kilt from the others (in the same photo).

Hello. I was the right (left to the audience) officer with 3 Guard on this parade. The photo labelled "No 2 Guard" is incorrect - this is actually 3 Guard, prior to the officers falling in. 3 Guard is also the Guard shown in the photo marked "Volley Fire by Guard".
Thank you for posting these photos, two of which I am in. The photos are not copying properly for me - would it be possible for you to please email them to me, at (seathanaich@telus.net)? I would very much appreciate that.
