Culloden anniversary
Today marks the 269th anniverary of the Battle of Culloden, the result of which changed so much. It's a beautiful spring day here today, unlike the conditions in 1746.

Aye. Always a sad day when people turn on one-another.

Vist
My wife and I were there on the 9th, the new visitors center is incredible and the immersion room can bring you to tears. My wife is a Chattan and was looking for those stones that remembered the confederation, and spent much time at each. The effort to keep the history embodied here is fantastic, Kudos to those who work for this and sadness for the event and those who died

I have chosen to wear my MacDonald kilt today as a remembrance.

I had the opportunity to vist in July, 2013. It was a beautiful day to visit the center and peruse the sacred grounds. I spent about an hour there, but I really needed 4-5. Walking through the battlefield gave me chilling thoughts. It is hallowed ground. Gettysburg is the same way.
