Debateable Lands - In Search of the Border Reivers DVD
Does anyone here own this particular title?

Given the late George MacDonald Fraser's involvement in the documentary, I would love to see it.

Todd

Todd, based on some comments in another place, I downloaded The Steel Bonnets" by GMF two nights ago and have been reading it. I'm about halfway through it. Particularly interesting for me since I once had a chance to see some of the border lands including around Carlisle, Dumfries, and Hawick.
Sorry, no knowledge on the DVD though.

Tom,
If you like The Steel Bonnets, you'll love the late George MacDonald Fraser's other works:
The Candlemass Road: GMF's fictional account of the Reivers.
Quartered Safe Out Here GMF's memoirs of his time as a ranker with the Border Regiment in Burma during the Second World War. In my opinion, of the best memoirs of a soldier ever written.
MacAuslan Entire: a series of short stories based on GMF's time as an officer with the Gordons immediately after WWII, centering around "the dirtiest soldier in the world", Pte. MacAuslan.
And, of course, one must not forget Flashman!

I have not heard of this DVD.
If it is currently available I would expect it will be on sale at Hawick Reivers Festival on 22nd to 24th March.
Regional Director for Scotland for Clan Cunningham International, and a Scottish Armiger.
