what do you make of this sporran?

This just came up on Ebay. No hurry, 29 days to go.

Not sure what to make of it. I've not seen those badges combined before, they look like a Black Watch sporran badge and a Seaforth Highlanders collar badge

Here's one of the photos from the auction. What we don't know is the size. Since the badges and closure stud look a bit large, the sporran might be a Youth's or Child's sporran.

For comparison, here's the same badge and closure stud on a Black Watch military sporran (fullsize of course)

I think you might be right about this being a child size sporran, the badge placement and the fact that there are 2 tassells are my reasoning for thinking that.

I would have to agree. It does look like a child's sporran, and I thought the same thing with it only having two tassels and the size of the tassels compared to the sporran.

I'm wondering why a badge is covered up when the flap is closed, (aside from the youth proportions) that seems rather cobbled together

I think you guys are right, and now I realise it's a BW collar badge rather than sporran badge.

Shirley Temple's miniature Black Watch sporran in Wee Willie Winkie used a collar badge for the sporran badge- the same but smaller.

I am going to have to watch that movie again, just to look at the sporran she wore. Haven't seen it for quite a while.
