Not sure if this has been posted before (early apologies for newb-ness), but a few weeks back I stumbled upon a few books that you can download for reading for free on your Android phone/tablet what have you.. I was searching the usual suspects (tartan, Scotland, Scottish, etc.) during an extensive time period while in a doctor's waiting room. The finds made it far more enjoyable of a wait than anticipated. Actually got me perturbed that I had to put my phone down and fix that health!! I'll have to start digging into the books to see if they're noteworthy, but nonetheless it's worth a try checking it out. A few examples that I came across are: The Tartans of the Clans and Septs of Scotland, by W. & A.K. Johnston Limited What Is My Tartan? by Frank Adam Lays, Highland and Lowland by Charles Elphinstone Dalrymple Sketches of Scotland - J.M.P. - I found that this one had Clan Maclean, Cameron, Macleod, Mackenzie, etc. and in color - showing tartans Anyhow, if anyone has further recommendations, let me know.
