Not my review but interesting to read: http://asuitablewardrobe.dynend.com/
The book is going on my Christmas List.

Re: Harris Tweed Book Review
The way the author was going on and on in the second paragraph was depressing me! I'm glad the review turned around in the end. Luckily, I never had those negative connotations with Harris Tweed. I have, and have had since high school, a beautiful dark charcoal grey Harris Tweed blazer. It still fits, happily, and to this day is my go to favorite - it still looks new even after 29 years! Love it. This book may be going on my Christmas list as well :-)

Re: Harris Tweed Book Review
Awesome! Tweed is such an addicting garment to wear, isn't it? I absolutely adore the array for colours one could have in, say, a tweed blazer. I love tweed just as much as I love hard tartan!
Great book by the way...hmmm, perhaps it should go on my Christmas list as well?!
Cheers,

I was thinking the same thing as I read it. Harris tweed doesn't have to be dull and boring as the blogger wrote. I'm guessing that he's a young-ish fellow who follows the trends. To me, Harris tweed is only as boring as the man who wears it.
Scrolling further down, I looked at the tweed jacket with an overstripe, paired with a yellow check shirt, a blue flannel tie, a pocket square in another print, and the final piece, a large-print paisley scarf tied over the flannel tie. Overkill?

Not in this case sorry; more of an addict of of the bespoke and the experimentation that goes along with having a healthy clothing budget and access to some of the finest tailors in the world!
I didn't actually think that the review was that depressing; Harris Tweed has had a negative image for years, whether correctly or incorrectly... odd as it may seem to those of us who have always worn it and now find ourselves accidentally "on trend". I personally think the years of coffee spills etc add a certain "je nais ce soir" which the "hipsters" can't quite replicate!
