A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to buy an old copy of MacLeay's "Highlanders of Scotland". It is a beautiful, old leather bound and gilded edition that was published sometime after 1873 but probably before 1900. Anyway, I thought I'd share my great find and post some pictures.
The original drawings were photographed and then pasted onto the pages. So, unfortunatly, they are not in color, but they still look great.
I realized that I'd never posted any pictures of myself on the site, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to post some now. I'm wearing my Matt Newsome 16oz Ancient Mackay tank, a light blue tattersal shirt, a Gordon's Highlanders kilt pin and a Lythgoe fox sporran.
