Pretty sure this violates a couple of rules, but yes I shoot a 50LB Yew Longbow made by my father. Doctors use the Recovered remains of the Mary Rose Archers to study what is going on in my Dad's shoulders and back, as he has been shooting much heavier longbows for the majority of his 77 years on the planet.

Moving to "Weapons" subforum as permitted by OP, however, I'm going to flag this myself unless you can tell me how this is a "Kilt Accessory."

I can see why the 1790 coat (pictured late in the article) would be a good for drawing a bow. There is ample room in the sleeves and chest area for movement. The colors of the tartan would work also for woods or brush shooting.
The other outfits shown and described are adorned with great pizzaz. Could this be archery had become a hobby instead of necessary activity of the upper gentry?
Thanks for the article link Luke, as it brings this subject back to the concentration of kilts and off the weapon.

I wont make that mistake again.
Cheers.

Would you let me lock the thread? I may have to remove it too, depending on the discussion behind the scenes.
