beautiful sgians. I like the bogwood sheath. both are a work of art. a work of warning though. a wood sheath tends to hold moisture and it can cause discoloration or ruin a blade if stored for a long period of time.

Cheers Remus.. The timber is bone dry as it gets to me and it's all sealed when I'm done, also an added liner on the inside, I went through that a few years back with a different timber I was using so lesson learnt me thinks😉

Very nice work! What type of steel are you using for the blades?

Cheers Shaun.. 420 stainless, I've been finding it hard fitting projects around work at the mo so I've cheated a little and got a few blades in ready made😉

I think they both look great. Looks like beautiful work.

I like that you used the light and dark bog oak, subtle - I truly appreciate the wood work. I also like the antler and were I to have to chose I would get the antler as it is more distinctive.

I don't have a sgian and would love either so I think you made a wise choice in having these "at the ready" for those who are looking for one
