    Handle for day use Sgian Dubh

    Made this handle out of black walnut, bought the blade and brass ferrule from Rab at Loch Ness Origins at Drumnadrochit and then put it together yesterday.IMG_20131115_151317.jpgIMG_20131115_151509.jpg

    Blade

    Thanks you, the blade is a stainless 420 steel. I didn't think about how thick the handle was - it was about 3/4 of an inch so I took it down to 1/2" or about 1.3 cm, it's just slightly thicker than the sheath now.
