Just posted a couple of pix from the event here. (There were some others that didn't come out so well, unfortunately.) Sadly, I seem to have been the only kilted audience member at the matinee. The concert and dancing were both great. I'd never heard of the McKassons before, but was quite impressed. Their tune "Culloden" is especially pretty... in a haunting, melancholic way. (Check out the drum riff, in particular.) They were joined by piper/vocalist Dan Houghton, of Salsa Celtica and Cantrip fame, who is as amusing as he is a talented musician. I just wish he had been featured a bit more. The RSCDS Boston Demo Team gave a quick lesson in the museum lobby after the performance. I was strongarmed into participating by our friend Cathy, a member of the team. I am quite happy to report that no one was injured by my rather inappropriate footwear.
