1745 "Living History" Event
The annual spring "1745 Rebellion" event will take place 21-22 May at Fort Plain Historic Site, Ft. Plain, NY (in the Mohawk Valley). The battles of Prestonpans and Culloden will be reenacted, plus period camps, demonstrations, vendors, etc.

You're gonna take lots of pictures for those of us who can't attend, right? I would love to go to this!

Wish to hell I could go. Still trapped here in Commiefornia until Feb 2012 when my wife graduates from College. I am aching for a quality large scale 18th century reenactment again. Our events are not nearly this size. Lucky if we muster 8 guys.

Thanks for the heads up Woodsheal.
Fort Plain is about an hour from me, on the way to my GirlFriend's house.
Hopefully, she's not burned out from me dragging her around to Crown Point, Fort Ticondaroga, and all over the Saratoga battle field last fall.
If not, we'll be there.

Barring any sudden emergencies, I'll see you up there. Don't know that I'll make the fall event at Niagara Celtic Festival, but this one's as close to being a lock as my schedule allows for. If you come by camp early enough in the weekend, there'll be some home made ale to try.
All skill and effort is to no avail when an angel pees down your drones.

Burned out?!?! From just that? She should go with my dad and I when we do those kinds of tours... She'll either end up loving it or have a psychotic episode...
