Thumbs up 2014 Missouri Tartan Day Festival in Historic Saint Charles, Missouri

    Greetings,

Tartan Day 2014 is upon us! Anybody in the greater Saint Louis area, or perhaps beyond, planning to attend? My bonnie wife, Stephanie and I will be there all day long, and well into the evening, on Saturday, April 5 (the festivities begin on Friday, April 4 and conclude on Sunday, April 6). We have been attending this free event for many years and it is always very well organised and a fun day out (as long as it stays dry!). We hope to see you there!

For more information, check out the official Missouri Tartan Day link below:

I will be there with bells on my friend. It was so great to meet you at the St. Louis games last year. I hope to see you again this year and meet that lovely wife of yours.

As always, I will be at the Clan Donald tent, usually right in front of the little train station. Hope to see you and maybe share a dram or two.

Can't wait for the festivities to begin.

Sounds like a plan, mate! Now, let's hope for good weather.

    See you soon,

Beware one and all who are going to attend the festivities. I have heard that they are not allowing us to use the park due to conditions...mud and muck. They are trying to get the city to shut down the street by the park to set stuff up.....won't know anything until Thursday morning, early afternoon.

I am hoping they don't have to cancel things.

Yeah, but the weather for Friday and through the weekend looks great! Sunny and highs in the upper 50s. I'm bringing my wellies just in case the ground is still soggy.

Surely that's complete rubbish! I am good mates with all of the organisers and I haven't heard anything about that. The event has never been cancelled, moved, nor shutdown...ever! It has been temporarily delayed due to thunderstorms, but that's about it. The weather forecast for Friday and through the weekend looks beautiful, so I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. The park has seen far worse in past Tartan Days too. The ground may be a bit soggy/muddy like in 2012, but that's what wellies are for!

    See you there,
