On my early Saturday morning walkabout I was able to chat with Matt, @Balaamsass51 at the STA tent before the crowds began. To the right of the photo you will see a long yellow vertical banner lettered MacMillan. There in the late afternoon I had a good chinwag with @davidlpope who recognized me the evening before at the Whisky Tasting. It was a good day catching up with XMarkers.

To the left is my Clan Society NC Convener Fred McCallum and wife Patsy, next is Travis Hawkins, children, and wife Kelli. Travis convened the CMMS tent at SCHG. He joined our Society on my convening visit in 2021. He now is also the Quartermaster for SCHG. He and his family came up to last September's Virginia Scottish Games where I retired from convening and passed on to Travis much of my gear.

This is a photo taken by @Mike Freeman of me in Parade of Tartans which shows my Order of the Rowan Tree medal awarded to me at July's Grandfather Mountain Highland Games for my past service to the Society.

Well done, all!
I really have to pay attention. This is one of the gatherings I want to visit, since I grew up due south of there (over the border). Some of my musical mentors taught at St. Andrews Presbyterian College, as it was then.

It would be great to see you, Ken. Mark in your calendar now the first weekend in October to be at the SCHG! With 6 XMarkers that would be a proper Meet-up calling for a Hamish incuding Matt at the STA tent!
