I'll be there all weekend- actually I'm leaving shortly- with the Long Beach Fire Department Pipe Band.
I always go up early Friday in order to hear the top solo piping competition, which starts around noon, in one of the ballrooms at the San Ramon Mariott.
Cool about the Country Dancing! I was an avid RSCDS member back in the 1980s, was going to three different classes each week, and dances all the time. A bit of trivia most might not know: the Los Angeles Branch of the RSCDS was for many years the largest RSCDS branch in the world... little wonder, it covered a vast area, around five large counties I think, with a population of around 15 million people. Then it splintered into a number of branches. I don't know if that was a good thing or not.
PS perhaps the mods should merge the two different Pleasanton threads?
