April 29th - Stonehenge Celtic Festival & Highland Games - Kerrville TX

    http://www.hcaf.com/celtic-festival/

My wife saw this in our local news. I had no idea. They say it's the 2nd annual festival, which means they must have had it last year as well.

This is at the same local park in Ingram, TX (just north of Kerrville) where the Kerr County Celtic Festival was previously held in the fall. I don't know if this festival has replaced it, as it seems to be a different event name and different sponsor.

Yes, a different organization took over what was previously the Kerr County Celtic Festival. Glad to see that the festival is continuing, but the fact that it’s a one-day event limits the number of clans and vendors willing to participate. Maybe it will eventually return to the two-day format…

Missed you at the San Antonio games last weekend! Clan Colquhoun had a tent at the event.

    Cheers,

    Stonehenge?

We have one here on the Left Coast.

    It's very nice.

It's a full size replica, around a century old, built as a World War One Memorial.

Richard, they're naming the festival that because the park at which it's being held has a (somewhat cheesy) replica of Stonehenge.
