Arizona Scottish Gathering 3/19-20/16

Coming up next week.
I should be hanging about the Gunn tent.
I'll be the pretty one in the weathered Gunn great kilt and black sheep wool broad bonnet or the modern Gunn traditional with the Black Gunn t-shirt.
Hm. Ok, that last may not be narrow enough. . . just ask.

I plan on coming, but won't be this well dressed. Still, will wear my Douglas tartan kilt, but in a t-shirt, etc. Maybe I
ll see you there. PS. I live in Safford AZ, SE corner of the state.

Does anybody know if there is any kind of walk around the field, with your clan, wearing your tartan? My surname is not Douglas, but I do have Douglas in my lineage, and that is what tartan I am wearing. Is there a chance to join up with others who wear this tartan, walk with them? I think this would be great fun.

Says "Opening Ceremonies" but doesn't say what that entails.
Usually at these things there's a parade of some sort.
You should be fine marching with the Clan Douglas.

It's a bummer, our band was planning on attending (we've never competed at those Games before) but not enough people were available and we cancelled our trip.

I have a sister in Scottsdale and it would be great to go to these Games with her. Oh well maybe next year.

That's too bad. It's always good to mix pleasure with, er, pleasure.

I've a fair bit of kith and kin down there. My wife was born and raised in Phoenix.
I'm there for near a week so I can run around shocking the lot of them with my elegant nether coverings.
