Anyone heading to the BC Highland games this weekend?
I'm skipping it for the first time in 10 years. It'll be good to miss a year. The booth selling sunglasses and Chinese dresses, the booth selling Aussie bush hats, and all the acrylic kilt booths have started to take the Scottish out of the Highland games anyway. A year away will bring back the excitement for me.
I will be there. "Big Mikey Originals" will be offering unique accessories and t-shirts for sale. All XMarkers are invited to stop by for a special discount or to drag me away to the "refreshment" area.
Gentleman of Substance
I'm usually to be found in the School for Scottish Studies tent, but this year I've a wedding that takes priority. First miss in more than a decade. And then, on Thursday, I'm off home to Scotland for the summer. I'm already looking forward to that fiest kilt night in bthe fall, though.
OMG!! I can't believe that I will be missing it this year! I promised a good friend to help her move this weekend!!! Mikey, Can you bring some of your wares to the Kilts night on July 18?
