I could not find anything I e-mailed the American west heritage ctr and am waiting for a reply. I did read somewhere the Utah Scots are NOT sponsoring it this year.
Utah Scottish Association aren't sponsoring it, this is true. I am a member of the U.S.A. board. I don't believe the committee in Cache Valley chose to continue. Our reasoning for stepping out was largely logistic. None of our Board members live in Cache Valley. At the time of our first Cache festival, our President lived there, and it was reasonable. I personally was still willing to head up the entertainment (as I do that for the Lehi and Payson Highland Games). I never heard back from the Cache Valley crew, and assumed they weren't going to continue this year.

But there is also this. I don't know if that means it will just be athletics or if there will be other events, competitions, tents, and vendors. I guess we'll see as Sept. 22 approaches.
Yes, agreed, just Athletics. The Utah Scottish Association web page doesn't have much information about this event. (Website says: 08-11-2012 Todd & Lyman Asay - Eastern Idaho Games but nothing else about the Cache games.)
The Athletics calendar shows all the Highland Heavy Event Competitions in the area (as provided by local Athlete - and Association Board Member - Jeff Loosely) whether or not they are with a larger event or festival. I am the webmaster for the Utah Scottish Association, btw.
EDIT: Apparently the official page for this event is: http://www.cachevalleyhighlandthrowe...ing-games.html as provided by Todd @ http://toddandlyman.com after I emailed them him last night. It is the same link that already appears on their website, but thought I'd let people know he said that was the official page. Definitely an Athletics event.
