Capital District Scottish Games

This is the event that got me into a kilt (finally!) last year. It was a cheap acrylic kilt, but it led the way to a basic kilted outfit with a tailored PV kilt and waistcoat from USA Kilts, a tailored tweed kilt jacket from Ms. Mackenzie, and other assorted garb picked up over the net, and based on advice from X-Markers. I even started making my own belts!

This is a great event, and I hope to see some X-Markers attend. I will be back and forth at the Campbell Clan tent/booth both Saturday and Sunday, while also participating in activities throughout the games. My wee lass will also be attending, and my 36 year old son threatens to come as well!

I did not make it to the games Saturday, having been sick with a terrible summer cold for the last week. The wee lass did drag me there Sunday for a few hours, which while very tiring, was also very enjoyable. I did not go to the Campbell Clan tent so I would not be shaking hands with clan members and spreading whatever ails me. Pretty much took my time, watched the combined bands, did a bit of shopping, and had a couple brews. Got some vids of the bands, not labeled well, as I'm no whiz at this stuff, trust me...
