Chicago St. Pat's Parade Sat. March 12

Anybody else gonna be downtown for the event?
If so, do we want to have a rendezvous point and time to all get together?

ps: Full disclosure, barring any major Xmarks turnout and serious bevvy consumption, I plan to adjourn to the Duke of Perth maybe about 1PM so as to guarantee my personal favorite barstool for the rest of the afternoon...I've been advised that, even though the Duke is the SCOTTISH bar, it fills up on Parade Day...go figger....guess all the Irish places are full up...we DID end up at a Greek Gyros joint on Grand Avenue on Parade Day a couple of years ago since we couldn't find any other bars that weren't crowded...they were happy to see us, too.

I haven't had much motivation to go to Chicago for St. Patrick's Day since the South Side Irish Parade was nixed....

I'm not much for parades, but I might be persuaded to tipple a few at the Duke of Perth in the afternoon. We haven't had a meetup for while.

I'm definitely headed up to the Duke.
I have to stop downtown and at least see the river dyed green...always a great feat as it's pretty well green to begin with but just gets greener after they put the dye in.

Just sent out PMs to the rabble. Maybe we'll pry a few of them off their couches this Saturday for a trip to the Duke.

Consider this a shameless BUMP.
Looks like I know where at least two of us will be tomorrow afternoon.
Spoke to the un-official Duchess of Perth yesterday and she reminded me that the place fills up by about 2PM so if anyone wants "dibs" on a spot at the bar, they have to get there b-4 then. I still don't understand why the SCOTTISH bar gets filled up on the IRISH holiday but what the hell...they don't even have Guinness on tap...they DO have the Bellhaven's Stout, though...
