I am planning on attending and competing in highland dance, provided a current injury heals sufficiently.

Actually, Mike, I'm in the Louisville Pipe Band. The 'Pipes and Drums' moniker* belongs to the Louisville Fire and Rescue and the Louisville Metro Police bands.
The Louisville Pipe Band will be there again this year. That's about halfway through our September marathon. Starting Aug 30, we have a piping gig every weekend (and one weekend we have TWO).
*Side note: I'm not aware of any significance to the different names associated with bands ('pipe band' vs 'pipes and drums'). It's just what the founding members decided on.

Hi John ! One would think after all these years that I would get the band name right !
I have made the correction . Look forward to seeing you this year !

I'll keep you posted and let you know for sure if I'll be there, but I'd say it's a pretty good bet! I'll be competing in the afternoon with the oldest premier age group, either 16 & Over or 18 & Over, depending on how many entries they receive.

I'm sure that we will connect this year . After our meet up at the Indy Games , we now all recognize each other !
Mike A and I generally try to hook up and go together given that we only live 5 or 6 miles from one another . We plan to be there on Saturday and Sunday from around 11 am to 5 pm .
Look forward to seeing you !

We've got our clan tent site and are ready to see all our Xmarks friend again.
Look for us at the Clan Maclaine of Lochbuie clan tent. A meet up is possible
on Saturday or Sunday, your choice.
