Dayton Ohio Celtic Fest

Will any X-Markers be attending Dayton Celt Fest the weekend of july30 ?

I plan on attending all three days. I try to attend the full time but final plans determined by what bands are playing and when. We should try to meet up. I may do dinner Friday at Dublin Pub. Will have to be earlier (4:30pm) as I want to be out there at 6pm when Father, Son and Friends takes the Pub Stage at 6pm. I missed last year as I was at Kilt Kamp in NY.

I will not be able to attend the Dayton Celtic Fest this year as my wife and I will be out of town.

I am however, interested in a Southwestern or Central Ohio kilt night!

It has been suggested that we meet at the Cultural Tent on Saturday at 6:15pm. Then we can all do the parade of kilts at 6:30. For those that can not make it at that time we can do a separate meeting at the Cultural Tent at another time.

Rebelrouser and I met up at the Dayton Celtic Fest. We walked in the parade of kilts. We both of us had one of the flags you see in the background. Good show as always. I listened to two bands I had not heard before: We Banjo 3 and the Screaming Orphans. We Banjo 3 had been at the Dayton Celtic Fest last year. This was the first year for the Screaming Orphans. I liked both of them.

I was there. But sadly, due to some medical issues, I lost about 20 pounds in the last 2 months... so my kilt falls off. I need to get a new one. So I was there in jeans, yes I know I was ashamed too. I did manage to get a really nice Glengarry though..

Sorry to hear you had to attend minus a kilt. I will be back out there this afternoon. Want to catch a couple of the band performances.
