Just wanted to comment of the Embro Highland Games. I've been a couple of times. Nice low-key one day event, always July 1. One of the oldest games in North America and the oldest in Ontario. Interesting architecture here that does remind me of Scotland (Embro being a corruption of Edinburgh). Anybody else care to comment about it?
I went to these games a few years back. They were a lot of fun. It is also the occasion of the towns Garage sale. Everyone in the community gets involved. I will be participating as a vendor this year at the games. The tug of war events is quite something too. Teams from all over Ontario compete. Looking forward to it.
