Embro Highland Games _- July 1
Well, we are almost at the time for the Embro Highland Games. Anyone planning to attend, and feel like meeting up with fellow Xmarks followers?

Planning to be there, God willing and the creek don't rise... and weather dependent to some extent. You want to coordinate a meet?

Hi Bill. I'm probably likewise somewhat weather dependant; although I think the forecast is for fair skies; and would love to meet up.

And we never did coordinate, Robert; I'm so sorry! Did you go? I took a few pictures:
I love the dogs!
But I always get emotional at the massed pipes & drums. It's one of the very few things in this world that brings a tear to my eye!

Hi Bill. Indeed I was there; judging from your pictures not more than 50 m from you during the massed bands. We set up our lawn chairs on the same side near the end bleachers which can be seen in your photos. It was a great day, with plenty of music and events. We settled in at the tug-of-war when we arrived, then spent some time looking at the vendors before the massed bands. WE followed that with the heavy events and dogs.
Here are some of my daughter's photos of the massed bands marching on and heavy events.

Sorry we didn't neet up. Were you kilted? I was in my Lamont modern and even ran into another Lamont tartan kilt.
