Glengarry Highland Games Maxville, Ontario
A reminder that the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario, Canada are on this Friday and Saturday 1-2 August. 1,400 musicians have registered for the band competitions with famed fiddler Nathalie McMaster heading the entertainment. Google Glengarry Highland Games for ticket info and the full schedule of events. This is your chance to dust off that caber and give it a whirl (or at least, encourage those who do)!
Perhaps next year, we should shoot for an XMarks clan in the parade...

I'll be at the games, sir, so I hope we can meet up! As for your suggestions about an xmarks clan in the parade, there's a rule prohibiting that, FYI. ...
I should arrive late on Friday evening.

So this is the North American pipe band championships and one of the biggest, most fun games. Who else will be there?

Nathan, you are bang on when it comes to the scale and quality of the band competitions at Maxville!
Regret that other commitments won't make that possible, but enjoy yourself.

We (SWMBO, myself and a few kinsmen) will be there Friday afternoon and hopefully Saturday as well. Have not seen Crash since the North Gower market and would love to meet the rest of those who can attend. It will be a great time indeed!!

I will be there for the twenty-fifth year in succession.

We should arrange to meet for an xmarks photo. @Dileasgubas can you recommend a Rendezvous time and place? I know you'l have official duties so perhaps you could suggest it! As for me, as long as it doesn't occur during the parade of the clans, I'm fine!
