I hope the weather holds out for you. There will be many festivals that will see rain and even bad storms. Post photos of any moments, even if adversity strikes from the sky.

Just back from the gathering at Fair Hill. The weather held until 4:30 or so when we left. The day was lovely.
The games area is fairly small, allowing spectators and fans an up-close view of the competition. Conversations with some of the competitors taught me a lot more than I knew before about highland athletics. Although I had both an X-Marks hat badge and a dandelion, I didn't run into any other X-Markers.
Maybe next year!

Wanted to go but they would not allow pets. If the lads are not invited I don't go either.

I was there. It was a sunny and breezy until around 1:00pm, then it was just plain hot. This was my first time at these games. The games have a pretty good history from what I gather, but the clan tent area was extremely cozy. Also, it was away from the actual games.

Thomas, I wish I had seen you. I was wearing a dandelion.

MacEanruig, there's always the next gathering! I spent most of my time at these games near the competition. A good friend's cousins were competing, and as I said earlier, I learned a lot about the sport from talking to them and listening as the athletes were talking among themselves.

I was there last year, my first time. (It's a long way from California.) I love these Games! Loads of piping. And I met up with a number of X-markers, hung out with some and had a quite a few beers int: which affected the quality of my photography as the day went on...
I hope to make it next year!

I announced the Games again this year and had a lot of people come up and talk to me. Only one XMarker that I remember, although I did see a guy with what might have been dandelions on his chest, but he looked lost and walked past. It was a good time with the bands Albannach and Searson, lots of piping, and dancing competitors.
