Loch Hartwell?
I am thinking of trying to go to the Loch Hartwell games next Saturday on the Georgia/South Carolina state line. However, we have a gas crisis here in the Southeast, especially in Atlanta. It often can't be bought at any price. There is a serious shortage due to back to back hurricanes in Texas, or so they say. Lines are 15-45 minutes long when it is available. I am guessing this will affect attendance at Loch Hartwell. I am disappointed in that I have never been there, and it's only 1 1/2 hours or so from Atlanta. Also, it seems they allow dogs, unlike most games, so was looking forward to an outing with the hounds.
Is anyone else going?
Is anyone definitely not going?

I am planning on going to Loch Hartwell, but like yourself, I will have to see how much gas I have and if I want to risk driving up there. I have considered I may be able to buy gas in the area of Lock Hartwell, but it will not do me any good if I run out before I get there.
I may not be able to make it to Roswell to meet up with Livingston if I am unable to get gas this weekend. There are interesting times.

I'll be there selling sporrans, leaving ATL on Friday. Why don't you two consider car-pooling? I hear that the shortages are mainly restricted to metro ATL, so you might actually find gas easily out that way. I hope you all can make it. Consider dumping a few bottles of Everclear into the tank.
Hey CavScout, how's gas availability out Jefferson way?

We actually are having a much better time up here than you lads in ATL. There was really only one day where gas was hard to find and it was the day everyone rushed out and horded gas. The next morning we got a delivery and there's not been any real problems since. The "mom-n-pop" stations are closed but the big chains QT, RaceTrack and Kroger have a good supply. Price is hovering at $3.97.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make it to the games this year. The kids all have sports on Saturday and it's also our 13th wedding anniversary. She was a sport last year but I better not push my luck
You lads have a great time though. These games are a great setting and have a much more homey, small town feel than the large regional games.

Kat and I will be there, if we can find gas.
Maybe we should all start stalking the tankers? lol
