Minnesota Scots are preparing for Tartan Week 2018 with a number of events, starting with a kick-off party at O'Gara's Bar & Grill at 5 p.m. Friday, April 6. The Scottish Ramble will fill the Landmark Center in St. Paul April 7, while there will be a Kirkin of the Tartans at St. Marks Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis at 2 p.m., April 8. An evening of music and singing (and perhaps some dancing) is planned at Merlin's Rest in Minneapolis April 10, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Finally, the Tartan Rocks concert, featuring Tempest and the Northerly Gales, is set for Friday, April 13, at the Hook and Ladder Theater. Save for the rock concert, all events are being coordinated through the Scottish American Center Tartan Week Committee.
