MWPBA competition Chicago

Just an announcement to let you know that the Midwest Pipe Band Association competition is again being held at the church down the block from my house this coming Saturday, April 5, 2008.

The event is at 103rd Street and Wood Street (1800 West) ind Chicago. I've wandered over there a couple of times and it's been really interesting. Apparently, they all find some local watering hole to congregate at afterwards...last year I had my fifteen year old daughter in tow when I got there and since the bar had an absolutely no minors policy, we had to forego the pleasure.

AA, I feel for you having to be so near so many good pipe bands. It must be terrible having to listen to them play. Good luck on keeping your sanity next weekend.
