The Tennessee Valley Scottish Society has an even this weekend: 2013 North Alabama Scottish Festival will be held October 4-5, 2013 in Sharon Johnston Park, Madison County Alabama just northeast of Huntsville. The address is: 783 Coleman Road, New Market, Al 35761 From their boards: Clan MacMillan is this years Honored Clan! Activities include Athletic competitions, Bill Coburn’s Border Collies, and MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC at the stage. Featured entertainers are Colin Grant-Adams, Hooley, Maple Hill Band, and Richard VanValkenburgh. Bring your family pet and enter him/her in the Pet Parade in Clan Row immediately after Opening Ceremonies. Prizes will be awarded. A wide range of Scottish vendors, including books, music, weaponry, jewelry, kilts and tartan, and other Scottish items. Both Scottish and American food will be available on the Festival Grounds.
