The historic Dunsmuir House in Oakland California has a small Highland Games every year. Can't make it myself this year, but its a nice family-friendly gathering. Annual Scottish Highland Games: Sat. & Sun. July 8 & 9 (10am - 5pm) Enjoy traditional Celtic music, athletic competition, Scottish country and Irish Step Dancing, clan displays and living history reenactments, children's activities, authentic Scottish foods, craft vendors and more bagpipes and kilts than you can shake a caber at.
