Ohio Scottish Games June 24-25, 2022

The Ohio Scottish Games will take place June 24 and 25, 2022. This year they're in the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds (that's a few miles southwest of Cleveland) rather than the lovely town of Wellington, Ohio.

Since the local chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism will be doing demonstrations, I may be compelled to wear a great kilt. (On the other hand, since I won't be able to "demo" anything to the attendees that they haven't already seen, I may just go with the traditional kilt ...)

I wish I could go this year! I've only been once, in 2019.

They were held in The Village of Wellington which was charming, as was the drive up from West Virginia, part of it through Amish country.

    Here's Wellington

It was cool to see a host of Pipe Bands I'd not seen before, and meet a lot of nice people.

For me, a craft beer lover, the only downside was that every beer booth sold the same couple mediocre brews.

Have to say, that part of Cleveland, and the fairgrounds themselves, don't have the charm of Wellington. But perhaps the beer will be better.
