For obvious reasons, Florida runs 100% of the Celtic festivals from November to about the end of March or maybe early April for obvious reasons. By mid-May, we're into the 90 degree weather that will hang around for at least 5 months. This year, there is a third Ormond Beach Celtic Festival (http://www.ormondbeachcelticfestival.com/) on April 27-28. I plan to take my family because we missed the Central and North Florida events this last "winter" Seeing a great number of kilts is doubtful. More likely to see short pants or jeans and Celtic themed t-shirts. I wouldn't be surprised if the weather was in the low 90s. The Wednesday prior to the event is already forecast to be 85 degrees F. Has anyone been to this festival in its previous 2 years? Is it worth a drive of about an hour to got there?
Went to Ormond this year. It would be sinfully hot to have jeans or any kind of pants on. No aeration, whereas the kilt has mercy. It was pretty warm, but always better in a kilt.
