PA Highland Games
Just looked up the Ligonier Highland Games schedule as well as the Celtic Classic in Bethleham...
Is anyone else bummed that they're the same weekend (Sept 25-27)? Realistically, I can only attend one of them

Thanks for the info.
I am partial to the Ligonier games because a) it's closer, and b) CMU has a pavilion there, and serve us all you can eat breakfast and lunch when we buy tickets through them. It's always nice to interact with people from my alma mater.
But I've also heard good things about the Celtic Fest in Bethleham, and that it's a much bigger (better?) highland games than Ligonier...

Celtic Classic in Bethlehem is an absolute hoot! Music, food, drink, pipe band competitions, world class heavy athletics, vendors (including our own USAK) all in a downtown city park. Michele and I stay at a hotel in walking distance and spend the weekend. Highly recommended. AND it's free!

I live here in Bethlehem. I've been told by people its the greatest FREE event ever. I just know that I will never miss it.

I agree, George. I went in 2012 and it was a blast. The only shortfall was there were only 4 or 5 clan tents. The athletics, wiskey tasting (no whisky), and music were great.

The Celtic Classic hosts sanctioned Highland Games and, Pipe Band and Highland Dance competitions.
If you are near by, don't miss it and wear your X Marks dandelion.
