Round Hill Highland Games Today
Is anyone going to the Round Hill Games today? I'm going for fun and to see some friends, including my dear teacher and mentor, Ann Stewart. I hope some XMarkers will be coming too.
Here's the info:
89th Round Hill Highland Games
Today ...July 7, 2012 ... 8:00am until 5:00pm
Cranbury Park, Norwalk, Connecticut 06851
A wee bit o' Scotland will be at Cranbury Park in Norwalk on Sat, July 7. A fun-filled day of Scottish activities awaits the entire family, including Pipe band, piping and drumming, Highland dancing, and heavyweight competitions, children's races and crafts, Scottish food and merchandise vendors, spinning and weaving demonstrations, Scottish folk music and country dancing. Clans and Scottish societies encourage visitors to trace their heritage and learn about Scottish history. Don't miss the massing of the bands during closing ceremonies, as the pipe bands take center field to play Amazing Grace, a stirring end to the day's activities.
Round Hill Highland Games is a Scottish Festival held each year to promote Scottish culture and heritage, and to provide local area scholarships. We are a non-profit organization.
