San Antonio Highland Games, April 2–3

Just a reminder that the San Antonio Highland Games will take place April 2–3 at the Helotes Festival Grounds in Helotes (on the northwest edge of San Antonio).

We'll be there, as always. I hope to see the usual suspects and some new folks as well.

By the way, the annual Tartan Day commemoration at the Alamo, which usually takes place the Friday evening before the games, is NOT happening this year. Apparently, since the ouster of the Daughters of the Republic, the Texas General Land Office has taken over the running of the site and has greatly increased the fees for such events...

Let me know if you're planning to be there. Perhaps we can meet for the traditional group XMarks photo.

I'm taking Friday off just to pack and travel for it. I'm working in El Paso this week, so Friday will be very busy getting ready.
