Here's the website:

Any other X-Markers going to be in attendance?
I'll be there all day, both days, with the Long Beach Fire Department Pipe Band.
See ya there!

Saturday's weather was amazing, high overcast all day and even some warm rain! At an event that has seen killer sunshine and 100+F temps in past years. I have a few pix to post later on, but so far we have run into OCRichard, Calico, Tomak, Sharkman and who am I forgetting? Looked for AlanH but haven't spotted him yet. Elizabeth, sorry to hear that you are not able to attend. Tomorrow I'm expecting to meet someone from Ravelry, and I understand one of my knitting guild members is in the Scottish Country Dance group. Small world!

It was great seeing you all and yes, it was the most amazing weather I can ever remember at a Vista Games.
It's usually very hot and dry. Yesterday it was heavily overcast most of the day (our Southern California "June Gloom") and we even had some sprinkles of rain in the morning.
For once, playing in the Massed Bands for the Closing Ceremony was a pleasant thing.
Fine Scottish summer weather!

Other than a bit of rain, we really enjoyed ourselves. My son brought his girlfriend for the first time and she really enjoyed watching the dogs.

I was there both days. Didn't really get away from the band area on Saturday.
On Sunday, my wife was able to come, and so we spent a lot of time (as in all the time I wasn't getting ready for playing) watching the sheep dogs. She was disappointed that they didn't let all the dogs run around on the grass after they finished all their competition - that's her favourite part.
The weather was quite nice. However, once the sun came out, the humidity went through the roof, making it somewhat difficult to keep the pipes in tune.
I saw Richard a few times (once at the start of opening ceremonies on Saturday and again during the G3 competition on Sunday, but on the other side of the comp zone), but didn't get a chance to say hi.
