Turns out that there WILL be Games in Santa Cruz this fall, they just won't be in the old venue in Ben Lomond. Instead, they're being held on October 3rd at San Lorenzo Park, which is about 2 blocks from downtown Santa CRuz. There will be parking at the City buildings nearby, no more riding the bus! Clans, athletics, re-enactors, music...they've booked bands already... the whole shebang. AND, for folks coming from out of town...the Games is making an arrangement with the UCSC motel, for rooms @ $89 a night. The Hotel is literally 75 yards from the venue. Sounds like a great venue but happening just a week before Ventura there's no way we could make it up there. . . have fun, throw well, but don't hurt yourself!
